Cheshire Business Angels Launch at The Apiary, Alderley Park

It was a pleasure for our team to support the launch of Cheshire Business Angels at The Apiary Conference Centre, Alderley Park, delivering catering for a focused and collaborative daytime event centred around investment, innovation and regional growth.

Bringing together around 80 guests, including investors, entrepreneurs and professional advisers, the event marked an important moment for Cheshire and Warrington’s business community. 

Designed as a Dragons’ Den-style pitch experience, it created a platform for ambitious companies to present their ideas and connect with potential investors.

Supporting a Well-Structured Corporate Event

The Apiary Conference Centre provided a modern and well-connected setting for the event, well-suited to a programme that combined expert insight, live pitching and networking throughout the day.

As part of our corporate catering Manchester offering, our focus was to deliver a food and drink experience that complemented the structure of the event, ensuring guests could move seamlessly between sessions while remaining refreshed and engaged.

From arrival through to the afternoon, our team worked closely with the organisers to ensure catering supported the flow of the day without interrupting key moments.

A Daytime Catering Approach Designed for Flow

For this event, catering was designed to support a daytime schedule, with flexible, accessible options that allowed guests to enjoy food and refreshments alongside the programme.

Guests were welcomed with a self-service tea and coffee station, alongside freshly baked croissants, pain au chocolat and a selection of biscuits. Fresh fruit platters were available throughout the morning and into lunch, offering a lighter option to complement the pastries.

This approach allowed guests to arrive, settle into the space and begin networking in a relaxed and informal way.

A Balanced and Flexible Lunch Offering

Later in the day, guests were served a buffet-style lunch designed to be both satisfying and easy to enjoy within a networking environment.

The menu included a selection of wraps such as Asian chicken with sesame and ginger dressing, mozzarella with Mediterranean vegetables, and chickpea falafel with lemon aioli. Alongside this, a range of savoury options including mini sausage rolls, roasted vegetable and feta quiche, pesto pasta and dressed salads provided variety and balance.

To finish, guests enjoyed a selection of sweet treats, including chocolate brownie bites with salted caramel popcorn and lemon drizzle cake.

With a range of dietary requirements across the guest list, including vegan, gluten-free and pescatarian options, our team ensured all guests were catered for with the same level of care and attention.

Catering for Corporate Events at The Apiary

For events such as this, our approach to catering for corporate events is centred around flexibility, simplicity and consistency. With guests moving between presentations, discussions and networking, food and drink must enhance the experience without disrupting it.

Self-service stations, well-timed refreshment points and a balanced buffet offering allowed guests to engage fully with the event while enjoying high-quality food throughout the day.
